Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups pecan halves
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the Pie Crust: Roll out the refrigerated pie crusts and press them evenly into the bottom of the greased baking pan. Ensure full coverage with no gaps.
- Make the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Stir in the pecan halves to coat evenly.
- Assemble & Bake: Pour the pecan mixture over the pie crust, spreading it evenly. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Cool & Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 12 squares. Serve and enjoy your gooey, buttery pecan bars!
Notes
- For extra flavor, lightly toast the pecans before adding them to the filling.
- You can also drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel for a gourmet finish!
